Letter to Students & Parents
Dear Parents & Students,
Welcome to fifth grade – this is going to be a fun and exciting year! I am extremely happy to have the opportunity to be your teacher this year. Education is a joint effort requiring you andme, working together, to make a successful year.
Regular newsletters will be sent home with your student on a weekly basis. This newsletter will include spelling and vocabulary words for the coming week, all topics/subjects to be covered for the week, and any other important information for Reading, Language Arts, and Social Studies. Please check with your student regularly. Online copies will be available here. Tests will usually be given on Fridays, so plan accordingly.
Please note that it is extremely important to come to class on time, be prepared, and ready and willing to learn. I recommend that you visit the State of Tennessee website to find up-to-date information on current educational requirements in order to better understand what will be expected during the school year.
I am available for conferences by appointment after school. Please leave a message on my cell phone (423) 300-8331 for an appointment, or e-mail me at jennifer.seal@hcsk12.com. I am looking forward to an enjoyable and fun year!
Ms. Jen
